Sunday Sundown, Merivale’s annual music series presented by Summer Bright Lager, has announced that Australian indie-pop duo, Client Liaison (DJ set), has joined its sensational summer line-up. The good-times charged duo will bring their flavour to the Coogee Pavilion turntables for four epic afternoon DJ sessions in February.
Client Liaison will hit the Sunday Sundown decks, fresh from their first world tour ‘A Foreign Affair’ in 2017 – named after their duet with iconic Australian singer, Tina Arena. With a shared appreciation for storytelling and unwavering belief in the Australian identity, Harvey Miller and Monte Morgan describe their sonic palate as ‘dance electric’, ‘new jack swing’ and ‘pop ballad’, a multisensory experience which feeds any listener’s appetite. The pair first came to prominence in 2012 after the release of their first music video ‘End of the Earth’, and have since gone on to release a self-titled EP in 2014 and debut studio album ‘Diplomatic Immunity’ in 2016. International in flavour, cosmopolitan in style, Client Liaison will make sure Sydney sees out Summer with a bang as they set-up their DJ residency at the beachside oasis.
Client Liaison are following in the footsteps of Miami Horror who kicked off the summer season in December and DJ/presenter Linda Marigliano who is teaming up with one of Australia’s finest beat makers, SWICK, to continue the party throughout January. Sunday Sundown first launched in 2016, with a vision to bring music back to the forefront of Sydney’s enviable summer and provide an exciting platform to showcase great local talent. Entry to Sunday Sundown sessions at Coogee Rooftop is free.
Every Sunday until 25 February, 5-7pm
14, 21, 28 January: Linda Marigliano + Swick
4, 11, 18 and 25 February: Client Liaison (DJ set)
