David O’Brien’s wealth of experience has seen him serve tenures at some of Australia’s top catering companies, including Sydney’s leading boutique caterer, John & Peter. David has catered for many weddings in his career including the high profile wedding of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. For David, catering for weddings is the ultimate privilege. At Merivale, David continues to push the boundaries; from types of cuisine we have on offer to how it's served to guests, including the creation of the Merivale 'lazy suzy' that presents a shared plates dining option in a stylish way, whilst being a talking point for your guests.

   Master Sommelier - Franck Moreau

Merivale's French-born, award-winning Master Sommelier, Franck Moreau, believes there is a wine to suit every moment of life, so just imagine his recommendations for the biggest day of your life. He works closely with the culinary team to ensure wine selections are perfectly paired with the chosen menus. In addition to winning the inaugural Best Sommelier Of Australia competition, Franck is the first Australian to join an elite worldwide group of 192 Master Sommeliers -the highest internationally recognised title for his profession.
