Merivale Scoops Six Accolades at NSW AHA Awards for Excellence

Merivale was the most awarded hospitality group at last night’s NSW AHA awards for Excellence, securing six awards of the 13 nominations. Merivale certainly had cause for celebration at the AHA’s official after party, aptly held at ivy’s Pool Club.
Further cementing ivy’s hold on Sydney’s dining and nightlife scene, the complex won the coverted ‘Best Entertainment Venue’ title for the second year running.
Felix’s head chef, Lauren Murdoch took to the stage to accept the ‘Best Restaurant – City’ award and took the opportunity to personally thank the Hemmes family saying, “I want to thank Justin and the Hemmes family for giving me the opportunity to do what I wanted with Felix.”
Establishment was also a big winner at the awards ceremony with three-hatted est. scooping the ‘Best Fine Dining Restaurant’ title while the venue’s sophisticated bar, Hemmesphere won ‘Best Contemporary Cocktail/Lounge Bar.
Merivale’s team of talented staff was also recognised with Tim Philips scooping the ‘Cocktail Bartender of the Year’ title and their major promotional campaign, March into Merivale taking out the ‘Best Promotional Concept’ title.
Merivale CEO, Justin Hemmes, understandably proud of his team and company’s performance said, “What a fantastic way to end the year for Merivale. We have surely surpassed all previous years in terms of awards received and I have the amazing Merivale team to thank.”
