Merivale Launches 30 Knots, New CBD Boutique Beer Bar

Merivale is excited to announce that it has launched a new boutique beer bar for Sydneysiders, 30 Knots, at The Grand Hotel. With over 30 quality craft beers, 30 Knots caters for those who enjoy a high quality brew and pub-style food in a stylish and relaxed environment.
On the launch of 30 Knots Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes says; “While there has been a sudden influx in the number of small bars in Sydney, there still seems to be a gap around bars specialising in boutique and craft beers. I myself am partial to a nice, clean ale and thought it was time that Merivale explored that area of the Sydney market.”
Infused with a classic nautical theme created by interior designer, Sibella Court, 30 Knots has an oceanic look and feel and features maritime touches of rope and naval artifacts throughout the décor. Beer afficionados can enjoy a modern twist on the age old pub feel including the use of communal or high bar-table seating, sunken lounges and comfortable sofa seating.
Guests will be kept well fed with a modern pub food offering including gourmet burgers and salads, including vegetarian options, alongside a beer matched menu. Boutique and craft beers aside, 30 Knots also has the Mad Brewers Fallen Apple Cyder exclusively on tap and a range of beer cocktails created by resident Merivale mixologist, Mike Enright.
This casual-style venue has been designed to comfortably hold 100 patrons with the pool room, providing access to two pool tables on level 2, holding 60 patrons.
