Vamos a Celebrar! El Loco at Slip Inn is here to stay! The delicious and authentic Mexican cantina will remain a permanent fixture in the legendary Slip Inn courtyard after receiving such a warm reception by regulars and newcomers alike.
Launched on 1 March as a summer pop-up cantina in the popular city establishment, the El Loco at Slip Inn venture has proven so successful that Executive Chef Dan Hong, the gastronomic genius behind El Loco Excelsior, Ms G’s and Mr Wong, and Merivale’s CEO Justin Hemmes, have decided to leave their sombreros firmly in place and make it a permanent addition to the Sydney CBD.

Riding on the success of the recent Mexican pop up cantina at Sydney’s Opera House, Sydney’s award winning cheap eat, El Loco is now on the move again, this time setting up shop at Sydney’s legendary courtyard, Slip Inn.
Launching on Friday 1 March, El Loco at Slip Inn will be the perfect place to see out Summer. Taking over the entire courtyard level, including Sand Bar and replacing the current menu offering, the pop up Mexican cantina will serve up its signature Mexicana fare and all time favourite Margaritas and slushies, sure to send you loco!

Merivale’s annual food festival, March into Merivale, returns for its fifth year on 5 February through to 28 March.
