Food – David O’Brien
As Merivale’s events executive chef, David O’Brien oversees the menus and kitchens of Sydney’s premier event spaces. David has a gift for seamlessly blending the classical and contemporary, producing intensely flavoured dishes with a nod to his British roots.
At Merivale, David continues to push the boundaries from types of cuisine on offer through to how it’s served to guests including the creation of the Merivale ‘lazy suzy’ allowing a shared plates dining option to be done in a stylish way whilst being a talking point for your guests.
Wine – Franck Moreau
Merivale’s French-born, award-winning Master Sommelier, Franck Moreau, believes there is a wine to suit every event and works closely with the culinary team to ensure wine selections are perfectly paired with the chosen menus. In addition to winning the inaugural Best Sommelier of Australia competition this year, Franck became one of the first Australians to join an elite worldwide group of 192 Master Sommeliers - the highest internationally recognised title for his profession.
