Awards Night at Upstairs Beresford
September, 2011

Upstairs Beresford at The Beresford Hotel, was the venue of choice for the 2011 Australian Mobile Awards in September of this year. More than 200 industry delegates attended the awards evening to acknowledge leading mobile achievements through a broad selection of categories including best applications for: Business, Information, News, Utilities, Navigation, Banking/Finance and Games, to Innovation in the Mobile Industry, including best Audience Migration to Mobile Technology, Best Mobile expanded Service and Best New Service to the mobile market.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, served between award categories, including; pea, lemon, ricotta and parmesan bruschetta, beef carpaccio with salsa verde, quail egg and frites, gremolata crusted lamb cutlets with romesco, and calamari fritti with chilli mayonnaise.

Once the awards were finished, one of Merivale’s favourite DJs, DJ Reelax, took the stage to bring the purpose-built, live music venue into its element and kept the crowd celebrating into the early hours.
