Love it or loathe it, Valentine’s Day is back for another year.

At est. Executive Head Chef Peter Doyle’s menu begins with a flute of Ruinart Rosé NV and will be followed by four decadent courses, each dish thoughtfully matched with wine, think West Australian marron with pearl oysters, yuzu jam, grilled cabbage and an ink cracker enjoyed with a glass of Thevenet & Fils Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay.

Over at Ash St. Cellar, the menu starts with a Sherry Blossom cocktail on arrival, one dozen Sydney rock oysters for entrée and finishes with a dessert of Valrhona chocolate mousse, raspberry and chocolate pearls.

Accommodation is also available at the luxurious Establishment Hotel, so why not make a night of it?

FLYING SOLO (MIX IT UP WITH OTHER SINGLES)

Have you been looking for love in all the wrong places? Consider hitting up Coogee Rooftop. The beachside destination invites the unattached to the ultimate singles party, Coogee Be My Valentine? This won’t be your standard singles affair. Expect a carefree vibe, plenty of bubbles, speed dating games and a kissing booth for newly matched-up pairs to pucker up.

FRIENDS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN

No date on Valentine’s Day? Don’t fret! Cupid’s day of love provides a fantastic excuse to have a serious nosh with some of your favourite friends (why not celebrate some of the longest relationships in your life?). Mr. Wong, The Paddington, Queen Chow, The Newport, Papi Chulo and The Fish Shop will all be flaunting their regular à la carte menus. Those who find themselves entering the door of Ms.G’s with a booking and a group of six or more will receive a complimentary round of Veuve Clicquot on arrival. That’s definitely something to cheers to!
